The only question is where they will be going.

I'm hoping the golf course.

Ha! What about "elbowgate" (we should involve our own elb in that one, eh?)? Is it an issue or not? He defn seems "off" to me...

Wished he(LBJ)would have played the season through. It's a tough call, play some meaningless games and get hurt , or set out and hurt something cause of atrophy from not playing.
I think he aggravated it against Chicago, I wanna be rock solid about this , but I cant, I've said all along, they haven't been right since the trade. M.Brown needs to realize that J.J. hickson brings an energy that Shaq can't. although I love that big body hogging the paint. see that shot he put on Rondo? (Oh my Lord),
Done talking about this, till about 10;30 EST, Andy is hurt. Crap, Wild Thing has been run hard, (finally getting just desserts w/ 2nd team honors)) and I don't know what kinda bug is up Mo's ass but he better pull that thing out and hit some shots, There I go running off again.
The game is really in my eyes, Mike Browns hands. He needs to get the match ups right. Parker on Rondo for sure.

Garnett isn't hurt, LOL Doc Rivers out there talking about hurt players LOL. They sandbagged all season, just enough to get there. We all know that (except M.Brown)

Alright, I thought writing all this would exorcise these negative thoughts, not the case so far, Grrrr

Ok, if we get trounced liked gm.2 then, blast away, we(Cleveland) deserve it.

I don't think so. Find someone to guard Rondo , LJ ?, then maybe. Cavs still do not play team basketball.

I'll take our guy who can't be guarded vs. Celt's guy who can't be guarded every time, sore elbow or not.

You know, I am not a huge MJ fan, but the most impressive thing about the Bulls in their day was the fact that MJ & SP could shut down ANYONE that showed up, PERIOD.

Sure, I know Kobe can play some D, and for finishing, he is my pick, even over MJ (but of course, I am a Lakers fan); however, MJ was an amazing defender to boot.

Not sure why you sparked this--I guess the "guy that can't be guarded" comment...

Anyhow, best of luck to you and the Cavs; I do think if "deserve" has anything to do with it, he'll get his this yr or next.

I grew up in a basketball family (my grandfather played for the Soviet Red Army team on his base) and have many fond memories of watching the Bulls in the mid-90's with them. As Weir would say, that team was "just exactly perfect". As god-like as Jordan was in those days, Chicago played team ball and that's what made them so successful. Rodman, Pippen, and Jordan were so much fun to watch. Still got my Rodman jersey from his Dallas days...

IMHO, Jordan is to basketball what JG is to music. Both are virtuoso yet are extremely versatile and team players. The way Jordan drives to the basket and JG finds his way in Other One jams (for example) is characterized by slight of hand bordering on magic and supreme agility. Jordan passes all defenders, flying to the basket for the dunk as Jerry builds up a crescendo and finally slams it home on the 1 beat (ya know that galloping theme from the band and then JG wails on the one high note?).

Yep; but even moreso, they never had a "bigman" which, for me, growing up with BillR, Wilt, Jabbar, et al., was a BIG change...which carries down to today, eh? Save for Shaq, think of how the game has changed from those early days...everyone's mobile, tall, can shoot, etc.

Always a Laker fan first and foremost, but like you, loved what that team did...even when they beat the Suns in 93!

Rodman did play for your Lakers for a season... or was it half a season? Just remembered I did my 8th grade English research paper on this dude.

Can't recall how long he played for us, but by that time I was more worried about his hair color and whether he would take a bad shot (sorta like Artest worries me now).

Well they did have Bill Wennington and Luc Longley, though they certainly not key players. Pippen and Jordan were leaders but they had Kukoc, Kerr, Ron Harper who were all fabulous supporting cast. Rodman may have been more of a liability at times but there will never be another one like him!

Right; just not a dominating "big man"; somewhat like my 75 Warriors (I get to have two teams, okay? Well...actually, I only want the 75 Warriors...you can have the present day ones...except for Curry).

Oooohhh! Out on a limb! I like it; well played.

I actually hope so--cause either way, whomever comes out of the East needs to be good and tired, right?

RIGHT?!!

Celtics can't win this series, the Cavs can always lose it, but I'm feeling a little better about things, One game no time to panic, I like the Cavs energy, and Lord that ball is bouncing' our way. Take that whenever you can get it!

Just wish I felt as confident about Orlando, you think e-bay has any kryptonite. Cheap? I'm on a budget. Maybe the Magic can find something to "foul" their game.

Hey--right there with you hipster...I could write a longer one on my Lakers...but, if they've turned a corner, great! I still worry big time bout Bynum and the bench. Not to mention kb's finger...ahem.

Ah well--misery loves company, eh?
